Bali 7-Day Itinerary 2026: Ubud, Uluwatu & Nusa Penida Without Rushing
Published October 3, 2026
Seven days in Bali works best when you group areas geographically instead of zigzagging across the island every morning. This itinerary keeps mornings light, travel realistic and downtime built in -- which is what recent 2026 travel guides keep recommending.
Days 1-3: Ubud and central Bali
Start inland with rice terraces, temples and a morning market walk. Use a private driver or organised tour for Tegallalang, Taman Ayun and a waterfall stop. Keep day 2 for art villages and a cooking class, then use day 3 for Mt Batur sunrise or a longer spa block if you want recovery time.
Days 4-5: Nusa Penida
Take an early speedboat from Sanur or Benoa. Day 4 covers the west coast: Kelingking, Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong. Day 5 covers the east coast: Diamond Beach, Atuh and a slow afternoon return. Book tours with confirmed pickup times; boat schedules change with sea conditions.
Days 6-7: Uluwatu and the south coast
Uluwatu temple at sunset, a seafood dinner on the cliff, and morning beach time at Padang Padang or Bingin before departure. If your flight is late, add a short stop at GWK Cultural Park or a beach club near the airport.
What to book before arrival
Tours, drivers and speedboats are the three things that fill fastest in 2026. Confirm each pickup location, ticket type and cancellation policy before you land; same-day availability drops sharply during June, July and December.
